The NFL regular season is at the tail end with only two weeks remaining. Heading into Week 17 and several divisional races have not been decided yet. Week 16 produced some upsets and changed the standings at the top. As earlier predicted, eight games were played under severe weather below 25 degrees.
Teams are making their final push to the exciting season. There are 14 spots available for grabs, and every week is critical for any team. Some races changed dramatically over Christmas, with both the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars rising in the rankings.
The Green Bay Packers are enjoying their best moment of the season heading into Week 17 with three straight wins, the second-longest in NFC, and are making a push for the last playoff spot in that division.
A few months ago, Jacksonville Jaguars were near the bottom of the AFC South but turned things around and are now leading in that conference. Jaguars hammered the New York Jets 19 – 3 in Week 16’s first game. The collapse of the Titans in the last few games has made things easier for the Jaguars.

Heading into Week 17
The teams that have secured the playoff title after Week 16 are Kansas City and Buffalos in the AFC, with the Bengals, Chargers, and Ravens ensuring the playoff spots.
In the NFC, San Francisco and Minnesota have clinched divisional titles. The Cowboys and the Eagles have grabbed the playoff berth. The Philadelphia Eagles (13 – 2) record is the best in the NFL, and a win in Week 17 or 18 will secure them the NFC East title. A Dallas Cowboys loss in any remaining games would also hand the title to Philadelphia.
Week 17 games to watch
Cowboys @ Titans
Dallas Cowboys (11 -4) and Tennessee Titans (7 – 7) open Week 17 on Thursday night. The Titans do not expect much from this game and are underdogs. Their last game with the Jaguars will decide if they are the weakest side in AFC South. Therefore we’re heavily backing the Cowboys to win this game.
Bills @ Bengals
Delving further into Week 17, there are eight head-to-head games where all teams can make it to the playoffs. The Matchup between the Bills and the Bengals is the most anticipated, with MVP candidates Joe Burrow and Josh Allen expected to light up the duel. The Monday night prime-time showdown will be one of the most watched games of the regular season.
The Bills have already bagged their third consecutive AFC East title and have won six games in a row. On the other hand, the Bengals are red hot with seven successive wins. The Showdown at Paul Brown Stadium promises a thrilling atmosphere for the fans. But we think Allen and the Bills will have the edge and are going to just enough to come away with the win.
Dolphins @ Patriots
Another exciting matchup involves the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, where the winner will have the playoffs destiny in their hands going into the final game of the AFC. This could be a close game with just the Dolphins having recorded just one more win than the Patriots. And based on that, we believe they’ll be victorious in this game.
Panthers @ Buccaneers
The Panthers and Buccaneers play in another crucial NFC South matchup. Both of them have previously won and lost to each other, but this match’s outcome could determine the conference winner. Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady has never had a losing season as a starter in his 23-year NFL career and hopes to keep the streak alive. A win for the Buccaneers in the remaining two games will help them clinch the title and we can’t see the legend that is Brady falling short of keeping his record intact.
We’re backing a Buccaneers win!
Saints @ Eagles
The New Orleans Saints are still hunting for a divisional title and must win at Philadelphia to keep their hopes alive. If the Panthers overcome the Buccaneers over the weekend, the Saints would be in a massive position to clinch the division on the final day when they face Carolina. However, the Eagles have had an incredible season and so we expect nothing less than another W on the record for them.
