The 2022-23 NFL season is in the home stretch with a four-week sprint remaining. Serious contenders are now evident with goodbye sounds clicking on others. The next four games starting with the Week 15 games will be a formality to some and do or die to others.
The Los Angeles Chargers’ win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night moved them seven spots higher, which was the week’s most significant jump. On the other hand, Las Vegas Raiders gave up two late touchdowns in the hands of the Los Angeles Rams, leading to a five-spot slide – the most significant drop of week 14.
Philadelphia Eagles are having a season to remember and have already clinched the playoffs spot.
Some of the notable results include the following:
- Philadelphia Eagles 48 -22 New York Giants
- Dallas Cowboys 27 -23 Houston Texans
- Baltimore Ravens 16 -14 Pittsburgh Steelers
- Buffalo Bills 20 -12 New York Jets
- Detroit Lions 34 – 23 Minnesota Vikings
- Cincinnati Bengals 23 – 10 Cleveland Browns
- Jacksonville Jaguars 36 -22 Tennessee Titans 22

What will Week 15 hold?
San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers open the week on Thursday night when they face the Seattle Seahawks in a critical match for both sides. San Francisco is desperate to remain in the Super Bowl picture, although the injuries threaten the pace.
Quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Seattle lies outside the wild-card spot and needs a bounce-back win to boost their chances. The burden is now on Brock Purdy, who has proved he is the man of the hour after helping the team ease past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins.
Brock has 461 yards, two interceptions, and four touchdowns this season and is doing a fantastic job of providing the balls to playmakers to get the job done. He will be looking to hand San Francisco its seventh consecutive win. However, Seattle will be weary of avoiding the fourth loss in their last five matches and will fight from the start to the end.
Looking at the remaining Seahawks fixtures following Week 15 makes this game a must-win, considering they visit the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs the following week. They are breathing on the necks of Washington Commanders and the New York Giants, who face each other this week. This gives Seahawks a chance to eclipse them if they pick positive results from San Francisco.
Week 15 Remaining games
On their part, Washington and New York are moving in opposite directions after tying in week 13. The not-so-good 1 -4 – 1 Giant’s results after an impressive 6 – 1 start portray a team on a free-flow. Commanders are slowly picking up after a 1 – 4 start and are now 6 – 1- 1 in their last seven matches. If they can maintain this momentum against the Giants, they will have the upper hand in the head-to-head tie-breaker over their rivals in Week 15.
Elsewhere, the Miami Dolphins’ slump at the Chargers on Sunday complicated their playoff journey, and they are now a single game ahead of New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Los Angeles Chargers in the race for the two wild-card spots at the Week 15 stage.
The Dolphins’ journey is complicated by the week 15 meeting with Buffalo Bills, who lead the pack in their division. It’s not the best time for the Dolphins to face Josh Allen.
The Dolphins can pick inspiration from beating the Bills in Week 3 and repeat the heroics, but things could be different this time as they face a Super Bowl contender on a four-match winning streak.
Another loss would be catastrophic for Miami as it would drive them further away from the final spot, which could be ugly after such a promising start.
